So why didn’t the guild attend aldwych conference?

Edd Bauer Suite at the Aldwych Conference

The Guild of students officer team failed to turn up the NUS Aldwych conference, last weekend.

No reason was given for the non attendance by the president Mark Harrop who had previously indicated he would attend.

Perhaps is was because the room for the Aldwych conference had re-named “the Edd Bauer Suite”, in Solidarity with the guild of students  undemocratically suspended VP Education, Edd Bauer.

Or perhaps it was because Student unions were handing out “boycott The university of Birmingham guild of students” flyers., in protest over the guilds actions, which to many fly in the face of the principles of a representative and democratic student union.

What does the guild intend to do, simply cut itself off and become a pariah of the student movement?

It already is a pariah body, until the students take back control, and end this current state of affairs.
